Gossip Girl actor Matthew Settle proved he’s not scared of getting his hands dirty on Sunday night (29May11) by helping his chauffeur change a tyre on his expensive sedan.

The actor was one of the Vip guests at the opening of the SL East nightclub in New York’s posh Hamptons resort over the Memorial Day Weekend (28-30May11), and partied with revellers including rap mogul Russell Simmons and former ‘N Sync star Lance Bass.

But Settle got into trouble on the way back to the city when a tyre on his chauffeur-driven vehicle blew out, leaving him stranded at the roadside.

However, rather than relax in his car while the driver took care of the tyre change, the actor got out, grabbed a flashlight and helped put on a spare, before he was driven back to his Big Apple apartment, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
