Blake heeft laten weten dat er niets waar is van de breuk tussen haar en het merk Chanel. Sinds vorig jaar is Blake één van de gezichten van het merk.
Blake Lively’s reported rift with Chanel is unfounded, say sources.
The Gossip Girl star is an ambassador for the luxury fashion house, having appeared in ads for their Mademoiselle handbag last year.
Blake was rumoured to have fallen out with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld after missing a couture show last month, and is also said to have angered the label after she signed with their rival Gucci to be the face of their new fragrance.
However, insiders insist the rift rumours are rubbish.
“Blake is still an ambassador to Chanel and regularly keeps in touch with designer Karl Lagerfeld,” sources revealed to the New York Post. “She was invited to the couture show but couldn’t make it because she was promoting [new film] Savages. She still wears Chanel whenever she can.”
In the last year Blake has increased her reputation as a fashion icon. Last year, the stunning actress hit the big time with her adverts for Chanel’s Mademoiselle handbag line where she told reporters at the launch of the campaign about her love for the high-end brand.
“I had other opportunities, and I would say, ‘Thank you so much, but I am holding out for Chanel . . . That’s who I want to be the face of,’ and people would say, ‘Well, that’s unrealistic. They only hire Europeans,’ and I said, ‘Well, how great. I’ll be the first then,’” she gushed at the time.
Representatives at Chanel have not commented on the story.

Fashionista and actress Blake Lively is the face of Gucci’s upcoming Gucci Premiere eau de parfum, it has been reported.
The new scent created will represent the brand’s red carpet inspired line of the same name.
The adverts, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for print and Nicolas Winding Refn for television will mark Blake’s first ever fragrance campaign. Exciting stuff…
“Gucci is a staple. It is a brand I have always looked up to because to me it represents strength,” Blake told WWD.
She added: “In their designs, in their images, in what they stand for philanthropically, and especially in their fragrance… I couldn’t be more proud to be working with Gucci and its heart, Frida.”
And according to Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini, who was also reported to give Robert Pattinson a help in hand with his red carpet attire, Blake was chosen because, ”she is a girl of extraordinary beauty and a girl who loves fashion.”
“Although she’s young, she’s also very determined, and I liked this spirit… she knows how to be a diva in the right sense, with an aspirational glamour,” the designer continued.
And Frida’s certainly right about Blake as she always wows us in her quirky yet uber glamorous high-end designs on the red carpet.
Gucci Premiere will launch in late July in the UK, prior to the worldwide launch in September.
Not too long before you can get your hands on it!
The first time I laid eyes on Blake Lively, she was in a skirt so tiny it could have doubled as a turban. The occasion: Chanel’s resort 2012 show in the south of France. Lively’s impossibly long legs did a great job running distraction, but the skirt flirted with disaster. Another starlet would have been eaten alive by the “What Was She Thinking?” tabloid sharpshooters, but not Lively, whose ohmygod good looks—those legs! that hair! that body!—give her free reign to strut what the rest of us only dare to imagine. At 24, she is a red-hot bombshell who knows her power. Who else but she could play the shared girlfriend of two drug dealers (Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch) in Oliver Stone’s violent new film, Savages? Lively’s gritty performance in The Town was merely a prelude to this dark thriller, sure to crown her one of Hollywood’s top leading ladies.
Always a head-turner, Lively insists she styles herself—no small thing in Hollywood, where celebrity stylists can exert as much influence as top-tier agents. Skeptical, I pressed her on that issue, prompting Lively to open up to me about her deep love of fashion. She was decidedly less forthcoming about her Green Lantern costar turned boyfriend, Ryan Reynolds—although Reynolds’ dog, Baxter, made a cameo during our chat, suggesting perhaps that his dashing owner was upstairs waiting. Here, a little bit of girl talk—and a real glimpse of the actress.
I’ll be honest, it’s hard to believe that you don’t have a stylist. Is there an adviser, friend, anybody who helps you?
My assistant will call fashion houses for me, but I always pick the outfit, shoes, jewelry, and a lot of times I do my own hair and makeup for events. Sometimes I think, God, why do I do this to myself? It’s so much extra work!
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively: Unofficially Engaged?
Apparently there has been a bit of a snafu in the eight month relationship between sweethearts Ryan Reynolds, 35, and Blake Lively, 24.
The pair has been seen everywhere lately. They’ve been spotted holding hands in New York just a few blocks away from their new Bedford country home, and in Canada having dinner with Reynolds’ family. Well, now it looks like there’s some trouble in paradise.
It’s obvious that Lively and Reynolds are getting serious, and sources tell Star that the couple are unofficially engaged. However, if Ryan’s mother Tammy has it her way, they could be heading for a split. According to a source, the Gossip Girl actress wound up storming away during a visit after a confrontation with Reynolds’ mother.
The same source has gone on to tell the magazine that “Tammy thinks Blake is pressuring Ryan to settle down before he’s ready.” The source continues, “He rushed into his first marriage with Scarlett Johansson.” Even though Tammy isn’t too happy with Blake, she is insisting that the couple settle in Ryan’s hometown of Vancouver, “She says when they have kids, Blake and Ryan should raise them in Canada because it’s safer,” says the source.
However, Blake who films her television show Gossip Girl in New York “refuses to even consider that, saying that she has to be in New York for work.”
As for Ryan not being ready to settle down, in May of 2011 Reynolds gave an interview to Details magazine and has this to say about dating, “It just seems so kind of alien to me at this point. I’ve been in relationships pretty much since high school. Some people look at that as a good thing. I think wiser people might see that as a house of cards.”
Do you think Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively will stand the test of time?
